History and Evolution of Jet Thruster
Jet Thruster started as a small boat thruster concept. Imagined for many years, the idea was to develop a thruster system that did not require big holes to be drilled in the bow, and would allow for installation into the shallowest draft boats. In the early 2000s, the predecssor to the modern Jet Thruster was developed by Willdo Marine, a European Marine Manufaturer. The early model Jet Thruster pumps were adequate for the job of manuevering very light displacment vessels, but the installation foot print, and other manufacturing issues, made these early systems significantly inferior to the modern Jet Thruster system. In 2010, Holland Marine Parts, a Marine Manufacturing and Development company in the Netherlands, pruchased Jet Thruster and halted prouction to begin a multi-year research program that resulted in a ground up redesign of the basic system, as well as an expansion of the product line to support larger vessels. Holland Marine Owner Henry Kroeze says “The idea and principle behind Jet Thruster appealed to me, but first we set to examining and testing the system thoroughly. I was deeply disappointed with the results. So instead of marketing the product we started to systematically improve it. Our engineering department,

The New Alternative to Traditional Thrusters
Jet Thruster North America has been established as the North American Distributor for Holland Marine Parts to promote the Jet Thruster line in the US, Canada, and Mexico, and to work to extend the dealer network throughout North America. Founders Andrew Banks and Jim Oates have over 30 years combined experience in the marine industry. Andrew began sales of the Jet Thruster system in 2017, and quickly became the largest Jet Thruster dealer in the US. Jim joined Andrew to bring additional experience in both Marine Electrical and the Sailboat Industry. “From the moment I saw the Jet Thruster System, I knew this system would revolutionize the boating industry. Not only is the system simple to install, it also opens up options to install thrusters on boats that could never have supported a thruster system before,” says Andrew. “The quality of construction, and the care taken for quality assurance, is what most caught my attention,” says Jim. “When I first met Henry Kroeze and the team at Holland Marine, I understood why. The work they have put into developing an industry leading product shows, and I appreciate their attention to detail.” Both Andrew and Jim have many years of personal
